EPP is free to use for the pharmacist
We have made the Electronic Private Prescription software completely free to use for pharmacists. It is mostly used by independent pharmacies that handle both NHS and private prescriptions. These pharmacies offer personalised attention to private patients, enhancing their overall experience.
Easy to use
EPP is cloud-based meaning that it can easily be accessed by pharmacies having an internet connection. There is no software to load on the computer itself. The interface is user-friendly and simplifies the process of electronic prescriptions.
Convenience for the patient
The electronic prescriptions created by EPP are sent directly to participating pharmacies. Alternatively, patients can opt to be sent an email and SMS token ID which they can take to any pharmacy. The pharmacy can then download the electronic prescription using a combination of the token ID and the patient’s date of birth from our secure portal.
Fulfils all legal requirements
EPP employs an Advanced Electronic Signature to uniquely identify the prescriber. This feature is compliant with UK and EU laws that recognise prescriptions signed electronically as legal. Additionally, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society endorses this technology, assuring its credibility and reliability.
Real-time notifications
Nominated pharmacies that are sent a prescription by EPP software are notified by text message and email. They can then log into EPP online to check the prescription and dispense it.

The EPP software maintains a detailed log of all prescriptions received and dispensed, enabling you to easily view and manage this data directly on your screen.
